As a Long Island native, I have a deep love and appreciation for this area. Few places have such diversity of culture, entertainment, activities and landscape. I have always considered myself lucky to be here.
Born in Queens, I later moved to Nassau County and am a proud graduate of Hicksville High School. I attended NYIT in Old Westbury and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts/Interior Design. The study of form, function, space and structure has been the foundation of every position I have held.
I have worked as a Sr. Designer/Draftsperson for a local design firm. It was in that capacity I learned the importance of listening. A positive result always occurred by simply listening to the needs of a client.
I have also worked in local government. I worked in the areas of Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Mitigation, Storm-water Management, Grant Administration, Capitol Projects, Community Development and Municipal Operations. Hurricane Irene and Super-storm Sandy proved to be both challenging and rewarding. Giving attention to even the most minute details became so important.
To me, making a positive difference in someone’s life is the best gift anyone can give; this is what I strive for.
